This is a multi-step process for the less rich media saavy (or for those whose computers didn't come with a lot of fancy software). It doesn't produce the best quality material, but may be a good way to get your point across.

This is a multi-step process for the less rich media savvy (or for those whose computers didn't come with a lot of fancy software). It doesn't produce the best quality material, but may be a good way to get your point across.

First create your slideshow in Powerpoint. Then download Jing from TechSmith for free. It's an easy-to-use program that takes screen captures of images or video.

The video it produces is great - but it's too big of a file to upload to the class site (or to [www.youtube.com YouTube]). So you need to convert it to avi format.

This next part is annoying. Download Camstudio for free. Use it to make a low quality version of your beautiful Jing video of your beautiful Powerpoint slideshow. Upload to Youtube, and embed in your blog post. Done.
